UPDATE: Plum Organics to Match First $5000!!

Thank you all for your support so far! We are very excited to announce that our partner, Plum Organics, has pledged to match the first $5000 raised in our Barnraiser #1Dollar1Meal Challenge! For every dollar raised this September Hunger Acton Month Conscious Alliance is providing one healthy meal to an individual suffering with hunger on Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota where we operate a full-time emergency food pantry. The community on Pine Ridge Reservation is consistently among the most impoverished in the United States, with over 90% of their population living under the federal poverty line. Food insecurity is rampant. Supplying emergency food to this population is critical. Plum Organics is the leading organic baby food company in the nation. Their commitment to fighting early childhood hunger has made them the perfect partner in the Conscious Alliance mission.
