ABOUT THE ARTIST: Josh Harrier (www.joshharrier.com) is a contemporary abstract artist who explores the depths of color and imagination. He lives and works out of his studio in Denver, Colorado. Working in oil and acrylic on canvas, Josh adopts a purposeful approach throughout his creative process.
Music has been the primary influence in his art and a constant source of inspiration. With an ever-changing stack of vinyl albums on the record player, he paints multiple pieces simultaneously of considerable scale and complexity. Melody lines and rhythm guide his artistic direction, from calculated and controlled to free and expressive.
Colorado Bluebird Sky was featured as a visual projection in the lighting show of renowned band, The String Cheese Incident, on their concert tour in 2012-2013. Venues included Red Rocks Amphitheater (Morrison, CO), The Greek Theater (Berkeley, CA), and many esteemed venues throughout the US.
The band was honored to use one of Josh’s favorite paintings as the cover art for their 2014 album, Song In My Head.
