Wanee Music Festival
WANEE MUSIC FESTIVAL
The Wanee Music Festival was a great success for Conscious Alliance this year!  Thank you so much to all of the amazing concertgoers for all of the generous contributions. We collected 5,061 pounds of food.  At the end of the festival all of our donations were distributed to a Florida Gateway Food Bank, which will provide thousands meals for families in need.
The music was non-stop from April 18th-20th at The Spirit of the Sunwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida.  Multiple artists such as The Allman Brothers Band, Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Tedeschi Trucks, and Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band played to an estimated crowd of about 15,000 people. Our Conscious Alliance team member, BJ Cochran, and volunteers from around the Florida area,  ran the Conscious Alliance Food Drive and booth at the event.  Festival attendees continuously came through to donate food, check out our merchandise and learned about our hunger relief efforts and youth empowerment programs. We hope everyone continues to spread the word about our efforts and mission! Allie Pristas, also known by her artist name, Azura, created a one-of-a-kind poster for the event.  Azura donated her time and talent to Conscious Alliance and her poster was a huge hit! Thanks to Azura for creating this amazing poster and for her support.  If you didn’t have a chance to get your Wanee Music Festival 2013 poster, it is now available on our online store.  You can also check out the 2012 Wanee poster created by LEBO. If you have photos and/or videos from Wanee Music Festival 2013, we would love to see them! You can share with us by tagging @ArtThatFeeds and #ConsciousAlliance on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.  We love to see how your memorable experiences help our hunger relief movement—your love for music and dedication to the community feeds thousands of families in need. We sincerely appreciate your involvement with our organization! Thank you again for all of your continuous support!  See you at the next festival, and remember to bring 20 non-perishable food items to receive a limited-edition event poster!  Find the next ‘Art That Feeds’ Food Drive and or event on our website!
