5k Walk/Run in the Lakeside community of Pine Ridge

On a bright blue Sunday morning in September, Conscious Alliance sponsored a 5k Walk/Run in the Lakeside community of Pine Ridge to promote a healthy mind, body, and spirits. This family-oriented event coincided with the Oglala District Wacipi held the same weekend. Over 40 participants from 8 months to 80 years old bravely faced strong head winds to complete the course. As participants passed the half-way water station, they received a ticket for a door prize. Prizes included a Guitar Hero game, a smoothie blender, and a toaster oven. We are grateful for all the volunteers and participants who spent their day exercising together!
