Buffalo Heart Concert Thank You
“I was blown away, literally left speechless,” exclaimed Nina Tedone, one of the many Colorado residents that recently had the pleasure of attending the Buffalo Heart Concert at the Boulder Theater on April 30th. For the second year in a row, Elephant Revival helped plan this annual event that is a Conscious Alliance benefit for the Pine Ridge Reservation and the Lakota Nation in South Dakota. Elephant Revival was joined by an array of talented musicians and included heartfelt performance by John Oates, The Dovekins, The Plenty Wolf Singers, Nat Keefe, and Silent Bear.
This year’s funds will assist the Pine Ridge Reservation and the Lakota Nation in South Dakota in keeping their food banks stocked and secure. A portion of the donations will also help start up different Cultural Preservation Projects on the Reservation and Summer Youth Programs. Specifically these programs will be geared toward Lakota Music and Language Education & Preservation.
We would like to thank Elephant Revival for helping us have such a successful benefit, and for an amazing performance. “It just feels really good to give back,” says Dango Rose, who plays double bass, mandolin, and banjo for Elephant Revival. We thank everyone involved with the benefit for your support!
