Kurt Redeker – Interdimensional Artist
Conscious Alliance is extremely fortunate to have the support and endless creative contribution from the many talented artists who generously donate their works to our cause. We want to give you the opportunity to learn a little bit more about our artists and what they’re up to in our new series of artist profiles.
The first artist we would like to introduce is Kurt Redeker, master digital visionary artist and owner of Knew Conscious Gallery in downtown Denver. Kurt has donated his art to Conscious Alliance, most notably this past new years run with STS9. While Kurt has had his hand in many different forms of art media during his career, his path has currently led him to a focus on intricate geometric patterns, which he creates digitally. The pieces are then framed in light boxes, which were conceived and have evolved with the help of Denver based framer Corey Hartman of ‘Furthur Frames’. Through these works, Kurt explains that he is “trying to show the higher dimension and vibrancies of all things, the healing power of the universe.”
Recently Kurt collaborated with another gifted Conscious Alliance artist, Kris Davidson, to create a series of works called ..:: LIFE PATTERNS ::.. which were unveiled in their opening at Knew Conscious Gallery this past March. Kurt described his role in the collaboration as “decoder” of the design blueprints created by Kris Davidson. Kurt’s job is to manipulate Kris’s initial pattern and add to them the dimension, depth, and color that we see in the final pieces. When asked about what the future holds for their collaboration, Kurt told us, “Kris and I will be moving forward with ..:: LIFE PATTERNS ::.. it’s something that is beyond us…we are just the messengers.”
Kurt has contributed his time and talent not only to Conscious Alliance but also to Flobots.org, a non-profit organization created by The Flobots, which focuses its efforts on inspiring youth through music. Kurt explained, “Using music and the arts as inspiration, like myself, Flobots.org equips young people with tools to make a difference in themselves, their communities, and their world. Being a father of two beautiful and gifted daughters, who are both musicians, I feel that music and the arts should be a integral part of their growth, and all children’s growth, and I want to support that on any level that I can.”
“We have a pretty big year,” Kurt told us, “Android Jones is next, opening April 13th. After that we have CT Nelson, Reuben Rude, Jason Garcia, Chamber Made (Michael Gallegos & Leon Loucheur), and finally Dennis Konstantin & Gregory Pettit.” Be sure to stop by and see Kurt at Knew Conscious Gallery in downtown Denver for one of the many exciting events in the upcoming months. Also, look out for the Conscious Alliance summer apparel line featuring some of Kurt’s creations.
