Check out this remarkable video featuring our good friend and supporter, Walt Pourier. Walt is a member of the Conscious Alliance Advisory Board and head of the Stronghold Society, a Conscious Alliance partner organization based out of Colorado dedicated to instilling hope and supporting youth movements. Walt has teamed up with Wounded Knee Skateboards to bring top-of-the-line Wounded Knee 4-Directions Skateparks to kids on Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota. We were honored to help sponsor the opening of the first Wounded Knee 4-Directions Skatepark in Pine Ridge Village in October of 2011. The parks are created in the spirit of providing a healthy and positive outlet for the community’s youth population. The teenage suicide rate on the reservation is 150% higher than the national average, and continues to increase. There is a tremendous need for a positive, physical outlet for youth in the Pine Ridge community. We are so proud to have such an inspirational supporter on our team who inspires hope for the future of the reservation.
